Websites and software can feel like a burden—just another thing to manage and an unknown and expensive terrain to traverse. Many agencies push rigid, cookie-cutter solutions that require too much involvement (you’ve got a business to run), or offer boutique solutions that cost you $$$ without much to the bottom line. You deserve the right solution, not some prepackaged offer.

Lean startup principles should apply at all business levels, especially when it comes to software. While good software and websites are often expensive, they can significantly impact growth and market positioning. Software also needs ongoing maintenance, and it’s best to have the creator handle updates so you can trust it works without worrying. Unfortunately, these assurances are hard to come by in traditional design and development agreements.

ProtoRebel handles end-to-end services for software and websites, picking up wherever you’re at and guiding you to the finish line. We focus on what is possible within your budget and timeline and get you something working with a plan for the future.

Macro industrial machinery for Bottom-lining it

Bottom-lining it

  1. You pay $750 to initiate the process
    • Dive deep into current thinking and any assets you have
    • Comprehensive competitive research
    • Value proposition and roadmap for development
    • Wireframes and some high fidelity designs to illustrate the wireframes and align on a direction
    • Rough estimate of development cost based on roadmap
  2. You pay 10% of development estimate to start
    • The $750 and 10% down both go towards your overall project cost
    • We stick to your roadmap so there's no surprises in cost, BUT if you want more or different things, we can pivot and the final price will be adjusted
    • We rigorously test your software/website before handing off to you to do another round of intensive testing
    • After testing is done, we launch to the world!
  3. Hosting & Payment
    • The development cost is calculated from the hours spent designing, developing, and testing
    • Your $750 and 10% down is deducted from the total cost and this is your balance
    • The balance is divided up into 36 even, monthly installments, no interest or any other quackery – simple, automated payments
    • Monthly payments can be as low as $150 and up to $500 for more robust software
    • You can pay off your software/website at anytime for a 10% discount of your remaining balance
    • Hosting is free (usually $27/mo) while you pay off your development tab – that's 3 years of free hosting
  4. Maintenance & Unlimited Changes
    • Your software and the servers hosting your software need to be tended to for security and performance purposes and ProtoRebel takes this worry off your plate with routine backup and update practices
    • Changing any text, photos, and videos is crucial to keep your visitors engaged – also you might just think of a better way to say something, add a new staff member, or write an exceptional blog post. Because these directly contribute to your website success, we do these things at no cost to you with a one week or less turnaround time
    • Sometimes you need to expand features, design something new, or upgrade your website in ways that are more than swapping out some media or text – this is ok! We can do a change order to get you what you need in a timely manner. This can add onto your remaining balance, or pay in one lump sum to get the 10% discount
  5. And then?
    • After you pay off your website/software your monthly payment drops down to only pay for monthly hosting (usually $27/mo)
    • ProtoRebel continues to maintain your software updates and backups
    • You still get free, unlimited updates to photos, text, and videos while you’re on a monthly hosting plan
    • Websites have a shelf life of 3-5 years while they’re relevant in both design and service offerings – some can even go much longer – so after this term it’s about time to discuss a new design, new service offering, and a new way to thwart your competitors
